Onkyo Hts5100 - Blu-ray Forum

just got this system and this is going to be my first 7.1 system and this is my concern, if i watch a movie in 5.1 audio will sound comes out of all 7 speakers. Thank you for any answers.

No. 5.1 will come out of 5 speakers, 7.1 out of 7.

if the receiver supports matrixing then yes it will.. but otherwise no..
