they couldve probably got anyone to play the joker...But for some odd reason they got ledger to do it...Hmmmmm wonder why???

My guess is...They thought he was best for it...And it doesnt look like he will let anyone down.

Alot of people will love the movie..Alot of people will hate it..Just like anything else out there....

Any news on how many batman movies that are to be made?
Last time there was like 4...and 3 different batmans....
I hope they keep at least some of the same if not all actors
and two face stays the same actor.

Batman also didn't come out in 1990.

It's also possible that Ledger's performance is better than Nicholson's, which was extremely overrated. So . . . I wouldn't really use that as the benchmark.

But it was eligible for the 1990 Academy Awards since it came out a few months after the 1989 ceremony. Jack was nominated for a Golden Globe (didn't win) and a BAFTA (didn't win it either). And oh by the way, Ledger's performance kicks the shit out of Fat Jack's lazy performance.

If you think about it..who wouldve thought micheal keaton aka mr mom would have been a good superhero? He pulled off batman better than kilmer and clooney...and who wouldve thought brokeback mountain would do so great in the theatres and sales...and win any awards? Just by looking at the script....
I mean anything can happen...Ledger didnt die when brokeback mountain won all there awards...so i feel it to be unfair if he does win a award for playing joker to say its just because he died..I think its kinda of disrespectful to the guy to think that way. Alot of people was already hyped about him playing joker before he passed....

Listen we arent debating over the validity of when Tim Burtons Batman was released, and what Nicholson was or wasnt nominated for. Were talking about how Heath Ledger may have done a hell of a job, but doesnt deserve an oscar and this isnt oscar material. If he wasnt dead no one would be saying he deserves an oscar. This comic book stuff isnt oscar material aside from makeup, special affects, costumes, editing, sound etc. The joker made heath ledger. Everyone loves the joker the jokers cool. But Bardem can win for playing virtually the same kind of character, simply because the movie wasn't a comic book movie? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. The Academy are a bunch of pretentious, hypocritical pricks. Always have been, always will be.
