but it is for the Netherlands.

There will be special features on this DVD. Some colleagues of mine have been filmed at Albion Armorers in Wisconsin working on sword demos to be put on the upcoming blu-ray. Go to Facebook and look up Albion Armorers.

I know the originalist types out there may scream bloody murder, but I'm praying the sound receives a multi-channel remix. The last DVD was mono -- that fantastic score sounds better on the menu screen of the DVD than it does during the film. Sure, keep the original mono as an option, but I wouldn't mind at all if the audio for Conan the Barbarian was given a 21st century overhaul.

I wonder if this means Marto has lost the Conan license?

Fox released several region free titles in the past months. Some US releases even have Dutch subtitles (Alien Anthology, The Sound of Music, Rain Man, Thelma & Louise, Last Tango in Paris, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). So it's definitely not 100%.

That post you quoted was from 2008. Back then it was true, but thankfully, Fox has let up a bit as you pointed out.

Could not agree more. Poledouris' score in an upgraded sound mix would be worth the price alone.

I imagine this will come out just prior to the new film (that I am totally unexcited for).
