I'd rather see the original film get a decent Blu-Ray transfer from Scream Factory instead of this crap.

Excellent - I'd be interested in seeing both. Never seen the 2002 Carrie, and before reading this just now had absolutely no idea there had ever been a Carrie II film in '99....Amazing that I never knew this...

Do they ever give anything a new transfer? Thought they just took whatever they were given and slapped it on a disc in all cases other than Nightbreed.

I agree that Carrie badly needs a special edition, every other De Palma movie from the 70s and 80s has one BESIDES Carrie, despite Carrie being by far the most popular (besides maybe Scarface). I have great blurays of all his other classics and an MGM DVD of Carrie sticking out like a sore thumb. Ah well.

Director's Cut and theatrical for Disturbing Behavior or no dice. This is one that was terribly cut to pieces. All characters scenes amd moments that made the movie work were removed. I'd buy a DC version in an instant.

halloween 2 got cleaned up by them and apparently Halloween 6 Producer's Cut was a master they did. But otherwise they use existing masters for pretty much everything.

Another awesome announcement, IMO. Both great films. I'm a big fan of Carrie (2002) - I like it equally as well as the original, even a bit more.

The TV version is underrated. Plus it has Katherine Isabelle

The sequel is the pits though

Carrie 2? Seriously? I'm running out of "I don't like it but I'm glad it's coming for those that do" pronouncements

Oh yeah!!!!!!!

I was real close to buying the DVD triple feature so I can have the 2002 TV movie and the Rage. Glad I didn't pull the trigger. The TV version is pretty good and Angela Bettis is everything to me! The Rage is kinda meh but I have to have it for my Carrie collection.

I think they're counting on completionists to buy it.

The original Carrie, will always be the best! Nobody can fill Sissy Spacek, and Piper Laurie's shoes. If you asked Stephen King, I'll bet he will feel the same way.

The Rage: Carrie 2 is one of the worst sequels to a cinema classic I can think of...what GARBAGE.

"The Rage: Carrie 2" will always have a special place in my heart, no matter how bad it may be - it was the first horror movie and R-rated (well, 14A in Canada) movie I saw at the theatre.

I've seen worse. Emily Bergl gives a good performance in the lead. Not that I'm going to get this though.

The Carrie TV movie/mini-series isn't great, but it's certainly worthwhile for fans of the novel. Unlike the recent remake it's not horribly miscast and it brings something new to the table in that it genuinely is a re-adaptation of the novel rather than a mere scene by scene re-make of the De Palma film.

I will pick these up for sure! I never saw Carrie 2, so that will be nice to finally see. I also enjoyed the new Carrie remake, not sure why it's getting all the hate.
