As for genre, I'm not really into RPG's unless they are action based and don't include any orcs, elves or goblins. For me, I would say my fave genre would be action.
No.... Jock implies that the guy has no modicum of athletic ability. A football geek is the guy that plays NFL Head Coach (though my brother does play football AND Head Coach, so there are exceptions.)

Probably 70% of the games I have purchased over the years have been racing games.

Because the poll was for the PS3 and I've only played GTAIV, MGS4, and Uncharted for the PS3 I had to go with Action.

Normally I'm one for RPGs, but I haven't played any for the PS3 yet.

So what you and the other person are saying is you don't actually like role-playing games. Having levels for the characters does not make a game an RPG (yes, I'm looking at you, Japanese "RPG"s).

Hey,

For me it's just sports and racing games. I played lots of Quake back in the 90s and don't fell the need to shoot anything again.

Tennis, Hockey, Football and Racing is my whole video game collection. A nice perk is I can play any of them with my kids as they grow into video gaming.

Action/adventure is my pick.

Tomb Raider games fall into this category. (closer to adventure)
Prince of Persia games.
God of War

Action/adventure would have been my pick. Like uncharted.

I do like platform or action/platform (like ratchet)

bring on Final Fantasy
I used to be like you until I bought Oblivion when it went on sale for $20. Best $20 I ever spent, that game is great.

Took my answer out of my mouth.

The old NFL Head Coach for PS2 was bad, can't wait for the new one!

So... Football geek.
