Downloading with the web browser.... - Blu-ray Forum

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but how can you download files to your hard drive using the PS3's web browser? I'm trying to download some movie trailers in WMV format using direct links on ComingSoon.net. Everytime I try it says "Insert Media at Save Location". What's the deal or solution here?

ok....so that brings me to my next question...Are there any sites out there that have been made with the PS3 in mind for downloading of high quality video like movie trailers or clips?

I've downloaded podcasts in mp3 and they save to the right place.

You can also direct download from GameTrailers.com just press the X button on the word download under the blank screen, and when the little window opens up, mouse over the "WMV 720p" link, press triangle, then from the side menu click File > Save Target, and save to your hard drive

Thanks for the tip!!! I just downloaded the entire Star Wars Retrospective to my PS3!!

We need more sites like this!! C'mon guys! List them!!

how long, more or less does it take to download a demo to the ps3. man, i downloaded bourn demo and it took 20 hours. kinda pissed me off alittle. i really dont know a lot bout this download stuff. any help i would really appreciate it.

Doesn't WMV have to be converted to MP4 or something else before it'll play on PS3??

What I don't get is why Sony themselves don't offer a PS3 specific version of their own sites!!

no... ps3 just wont play some audio formats so sometimes u get picture but no audio from wmv's

Its your connection, are you wired in? or wifi?

It took me like a hour or so for Bourne demo.

On a side note, I was really surprised how cool the Bourne game is ... I thought it would suck, I'll buy it, just not for $60
