Slow week in the office, so I've been surfing more than usual today. I found this Gatekeeper strategy I thought I would share, as that's the one part we seem to struggle on at times. As I've never gone into the portals at this stage, I can't say this is common knowledge or not, but thought it might be helpful. Hell, I'll take a stab at the portals tomorrow night if y'all don't mind wiping a few times until I "get it".

Inside:
You get 2 guys who know very well how fast they can kill a gatekeeper and how to navigate one of the portals. You send one in Venus, he rushes to the back without shooting anything. One or 2 go to mars, get gatekeeper low, preferably low enough he teleports to back. Then mars person gets close to gatekeeper (ie close to where relic spawns) and signals venus person, while helper goes out to help with clearing adds. Venus person starts killing gatekeeper as quickly as possible (ideally lvl 30, ghorn or 6 shots of ice breaker/supremacy or other). Synchronize kills this way, Needs to be within like 2-3 secs of each other. Should be noted Venus is in more danger if blinded than Mars usually cause of hobgoblins.

Outside:
1 person on each plate. 2 people free roam (1 until Mars helper comes back out). Only one praetorian ever spawns at a time. The free roamers should go wherever it spawns. A trick to force praetorian to spawn to the left side first is to delay opening right portal by about 4 seconds (ie stand on right plate 4 secs after people stand on left plate).

With savvy people and 2 lvl 30s, you can get both relics within 2-3 praetorians. No hobgoblins, no praetorian swarm, no sending someone to defend conflux alone.

That sounds a little overly complicated, lol.

If you have two strong characters and want to do both portals at once....

The venus is pretty easy, you have a good cover spot when you first go in on the left, I will stand there and drop the gate keeper to just a little health and kill a couple of the little guys to make my run to the top easier and save some to kill when I get the shield and just wait until I get the word from the mars guy to take the final shot and grab the relic. The mars guy might be in for a harder fight but it is straight forward, kill the praetorians, kill the gate keeper, grab the relic. Both go out and kill praetorians going to sacrifice.

Or the safer approach, 2 go into mars, finish it off, then both go into venus and as soon as everything is dead, 1st relic guy goes out and hits stuff while guy #2 grabs the relic and they both go hit praetorians.

It always feels rushed playing raids, but for the most part I am not in too big of a hurry to let someone practice. The more that can do it the better I'd say.

Having a good night so far, just got to rank 4 and the game that gets me there also drops me Exotic Hard Light. Just got me the gauntlets now I'm off to farm me some more glimmer for the cloak and fusion rifle

Nice! Farm extra glimmer and buy another fusion rifle and reroll it and see what you get

It is a real nice fusion rifle IMO.

I was about to ask if it was worth buying. Already have Light/Beware with Void damage so may add another fusion with either Arc or Solar

I am not too clued up with fusion rifles as I prefer Auto Rifles, but I love this gun. It seems to recharge quickly, and mine reloads very fast.

I am going to be using it a lot.

Would like to get in on a raid tomorrow if there are any lists forming... just got to level 29 with my hunter, so most likely a normal, or could be a weakling on a hard raid.

also need to do the nightfall before that resets (might be able to do that one tonight)...

Go to Mars, select the Exclusion Zone on heroic (lvl 22 is what I did). There are a couple of dropships that drop Cabal Majors. Kill all but leave at least one phalanx enemy alive. Die and restart checkpoint. Make sure to pop resupply codes. I make about 500 glimmer in 90-120 seconds. I was in the same boat as you. I was out of money and wanted to buy the Fusion rifle and Goldspiral shader. Made enough money to buy both and the other emblem.

Did I read correctly that X1 players have to wait a year for one (out of a whopping two) of the new strike missions in the upcoming dlc and pay the same price as PS4 users? That doesn't seem terrible at first but when there's so little content in the first place, that's actually pretty ****ing horrible. How anybody continues to support this company and game is beyond me.
