It's from his personal Facebook page. He claims that Severin breached their contract over accounting and royalties and have paid the filmmakers zip.
So a bunch of fans started saying "f*** 'em" (dunno if directly to Severin or not) and Severin cried about it and said they'd take legal action. It's hard to know who's really in the wrong (especially since this isn't the first time VanBebber's had issue with a distributor*), but I think Severin are greatly overreacting. Then again, VanBebber's semi-public dismissal of Severin may have been the tipping point for them in an ongoing problem. *(In his defense, Synapse's DVD for Deadbeat at Dawn really does look like shit and is missing footage. Dark Sky did a much better job.) |
