Arrow would not have found its footing had its first season been cut in half.

The worst part is, Constantine's ratings are better than NBC expected. The problem is, NBC wants every show to have the same ratings as Grimm, which is not going to happen, especially in the beginning.
And that's pretty sad. I would never have guessed the day would come when the ratings "Grimm" gets would be considered "high" (they are terrible - they are just "good enough" for NBC on a Friday night). The problem is matching "Grimm"'s rating is a low bar and "Constantine" couldn't even meet that.

Any Fox executive that would want to cancel "Gotham" would be insane - it's rare for a network to cancel a show due to quality (and, shockingly, it seems there are plenty of people that somehow like "Gotham"). The only example I can think of is "Birds of Prey", which should never have normally been cancelled given the numbers it got for The WB. But, "Gotham" gets higher ratings than "The Flash" and "Arrow" because the world just doesn't make sense.
