Madden 2009 Thoughts

All this football talk has got me excited for this years Madden. I thought 2008 was disappointing. I've always been a Madden fan and bought the Madden game since 2000. My favorite has been 2006; I think it's the best all around as they subtract and add different components of the game every year.

As for 2008, I thought it was rushed. They just wanted to get it out so PS3 could have some decent games and compete with 360. The franchise modes were buggy (you couldn't get past year 3 or 4, it debugged ). Timeouts wouldn't work sometimes, certain penalties would NEVER be called (even worse than in previous Maddens), and just a slew of other bugs.

I'll give it to them that AI was improved, especially on the offensive and defensive line. Also, the graphics have been notched up a bit (obviously due to the PS3 engine).

Anyone excited for Madden 09 though? Despite being a Madden enthusiast, I haven't been able to keep up with this years changes. Anyone have some info on 09?
