BBY or Target better have a Steelbook for this, which I'd be completely shocked if both doesn't. I'm expecting 1 will.

This is the $120(currently) Amazon set. Looks like same as UK. I'd advise against it cause it'll probably be cheaply made. Certainly not worth $120 or whatever the price is going to be.

Those bookends look to be high quality sculpted statues with a lot of detail. $120 seems reasonable for two of them. This doesn't look cheap like the Jurassic Park Limited Edition set with that terrible looking T-rex.

Got the same email earlier, and I immediately trashed it without looking at it . They don't call them bookends in the email, just "2 Collectible Dinosaurs"

Maybe, ADI make awesome practical effects for the Thing and Universal decided to change to replacy this with CGI:-(

I hope director colin Trevorrow shot some scenes with animatronics, so they could (theoretically) replace something for the Blu-ray release.

they could called this "the animatronic cut".

That makes me sad anmd angry. nothing against CGI, but animatronics are fore closer shots better. It looks more realistic, liofelike and have a own magic.

Look at this stunning work:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh2...cZ2GMYbnWnBPPA

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1r...Ceynqa9MPNfYaA

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbh...wgg3v9cuH6DqEA

Its even molre tragic when they build for a movie animatronics, shot with the animatronics and then replaced this with CGI.

Damn, I hoped thewy make busts of the Raptors and T-Rex as bookends. I dont like the Indomunis Rex and I have the worry this set is cheap made like the T-Rex from the Ultimate Trilogy set.

Why they make not a big head like the ceasar warrior collection from Fox?

Universal have 3D material from ILM, so it would be pretty easy tro produce.

If these are polystone or resin, this is a fantastic deal.
If they are plastic like the previous trilogy release, not so much a good deal.

I think the price will drop, which either way, is good...but I'm inclined to think they will be polystone as the need to have some weight on them to function as bookends.

You can go to Walmart, and get you some bookends for only $6.99 if you need them that bad. A person who's willing to pay $120.00 for a pair of Dinosaur bookends is gullible...It's senseless! I can spend $120.00 towards a necessity, than wasting it on a pair of bookends.

That's what collectors do, we buy all kinds of shit. I dont even think they are bookends to begin with. I dont know where I got bookends from. But those sure look nice, if the price is right I will get it for sure.
