what do you mean, the old, grizzled warrior, from the future? he'd be perfect! not now, since he's too old probably but an Unforgiven Clint or even Gran Torino Clint would have been awesome

and an '80s western movie Clint would have been great as Wolverine

I would love just a buddy movie with Reed and Ben.
They could have removed the others entirely and made it a buddy movie with those two as they were portrayed and I would have been a happy camper. But, this is the Fantastic 4 and Sue and Johnny were well done for their parts too. I said in my review that Jordan's Johnny is actually more likable than Evans' was. Evans did let the arrogance and jerky behavior go a little too long in the tooth sometimes. Jordan leveled it out very nicely.

I don't think he would be perfect for Cable no matter his age. Eastwood has always been a little guy and Cable is and should be a huge guy. I don't think he would had been great as Wolverine either.

he's 6'4" if you mean him being muscular well meh
as for wolverine I didn't think he'd work before considering he's tall but it looks like they modeled logans face out of eastwood, and after hugh Jackman, not being muscular and being tall wasn't a concern (sure hugh buffed up around xmen3? or was it the standalone wolverine film...anyways)

What happened to that one scene that was in the newer trailers when they showed the thing dropping out of the airplane in mid air and that vehicle exploded??

There's absolutely no chance Fox will every lose the rights to The Fantastic Four. They have 8 years to make another terrible movie.

Nobody is saying they are going to lose the rights. What they are going to do is make the sensible decision to sell the rights back to Marvel, possibly recovering their losses on their Fan-Four-Stic movie. Or at least pull a Sony and make a deal with them similar to Spider-Man.

I can't imagine they would try to make a sequel to this, even if they were planning to ensure it was a much better movie-- it's already got the stigma on it.

They're likely to trade F4 rights for X-Men TV rights.

Another round in the ring with the four fantastics and it is still a fun ride. Not perfect, but still much better than all the hate that's been spewed at it. So much promise is still visible and I have hope that we may yet get to see Trank's original version. Even if we don't I'll still enjoy this one for everything it does get right and the biggest of these things being the relationship between Reed and Ben. I love the design of Ben as Thing and Jaime brings so much emotion to the creation of the character. I just wanna hug the big guy and I believe that was the whole point. Ben is the loyal best friend, but his anguish over the apparent "betrayal" of his best buddy is palpable and, I said this in my review yesterday, it makes their reconciliation that much more powerful and affirming when all the BS that has been put between them is stripped away and the heart is still there. Basically, nothing changed from viewing one to viewing two. Everything I liked the first time I still liked this time and vice versa.

They also interacted in the base scene towards the end and like these other scenes alone they were moving towards a romantic relationship as like everything else in this movie, it was about them BECOMING the Fantastic four through a new iteration. Its the little things that make a big difference. You don't need much other than those scenes to sell the staring development of their relationship

would you ever try to see the movie 4 times? (pun intended) it may help the movie to do well and get more of this version of the story in some shape or form

I would be surprised if anyone gives recommendations to you at all considering all you care about is runtime.

Hey if you saw them falling in love then I'm happy for you. Mainly because you are one of the only people who saw that.

Hugh actually started to buff up for the role in X2, he only started going to monstrous proportions around the time of Origins.

That's fine by me. Thank you for your condescension. So I have a dissenting opinion opposite all the hatred you and others feel for this film.
