4.5/5 I'll round it up for the poll.

Miles and Jaime were the standouts to me. The friendship between Reed and Ben was a strong emotional cornerstone and really upped the ante for me when the crapola hit the fan. Great work by these two guys.
I'm shocked didn't think anyone would give it a 5/5 outside of me, since I just gave it a 5 out of pity and mainly for the off screen entertainment lol

Absolutely no chance Fox will want to hold onto the rights then. Thank God.

Disney have a much better track record than Fox. The longer this stays at Fox, the more bad Fantastic Four movies we're going to get.

You do know Marvel originally owned the characters, right?

Disney-Marvel know exactly how to do a Fantastic Four film.

Disney did it with The Incredibles. Marvel Studios did it with Guardians of the Galaxy.

To say you don't trust them to make a good Fantastic Four movie makes about as much sense as saying James Cameron's Titanic is not a cinematic masterpiece.

Their interactions with each other (especially between Reed and Sue) brought subtle notions that they were coming together as a team and as a family which is what this film was overall about.

They look nothing like the characters. None of them do. Especially Michael B. Jordan, who's got the completely wrong look for Johnny Storm. There's absolutely no way you can see him as 'the character'.

Why would you single out Michael B. Jordan? That's just unnecessary.

Because he's the one who looks the least like the character he's supposed to be.

I actually thought Jordan did pretty well at being Johnny Storm
I didn't like the idea of changing Johnny from the original character and altering that sibling dynamic at first as well, but after seeing it I have 0 complaints about it and Jordan as Torch

But when he's on fire you can't discern he's black, so no big deal IMO.

Considering that my choice for Wonder Woman back in the day, when Whedon was going to make a WW film, was Priyanka Chopra, I clearly am not overly concerned with race. If that movie had ever happened, Chopra would have rocked that role so hard. *sigh*

[Show spoiler]

She's stunning. She's exotic looking. She has an accent that would have been perfect. Oh well.

(PS: I'm also very happy with the choice of Gal Gadot, for many of the same reasons.)

She's also a competent actress from what I can remember, certainly a few notches above most of her contemporaries from what I can recall. I went through a Bollywood phase a very long time ago, hehe.

I can't stand Bollywood for the most part, but I forced myself to watch a few of her movies, just to see if I felt she could the job as Diana. And yeah, she seemed like a pretty good actress to me. Of course, most of those films are so over-the-top it can be hard to tell sometimes.

Yep, me too. The lack of self awareness is a turn off. The cheese factor is high in most of them, and there's a fair amount of unintentional laughs to be had if viewing them through the prism of a western perspective (which is most of the fun, lol). But Chopra would've been stunning as WW. A missed opportunity.

Wonder Woman should be exotic though, it would greatly add to her mystique and enhance the sense that she could truly be a daughter of gods. At least from an American POV. Gal does fit the bill though.

Under this logic, David Hasselhoff was the perfect version of Nick Fury.

The Hoff was good a Fury, but a younger Clint Eastwood would have been perfect ...he'd be perfect for Cable too (x-men)
