I have a problem with two of the trohies:
Dumbfire: Destroy an enemy aircraft with a dumbfired Swarm or Homing Missile.
And
Irony: Kill an enemy with his own Proximity Mine.

Dumbfire should be easy. Just kill a enemy warhawk right?

I got the Overkill: Destroy an enemy aircraft with a volley of 8 Swarm Missiles .. that should also give you dumbfire

And how do you kill someone with his own mine

No because Dumbfire is firing a missile when it is not locked on any target. Just firing and get lucky that it hit something.

Overkill is usually you kill someone by locking on more then 8 swarm missiles and firing.

Or you could be like me run straight head like a mad man setting off the mine while the guy is still near it. Killing both of you. Yeah I was not trying to do that. I did not even see the mine. I was just lucky.

i got my dumbfire, didn't even mean to, i just misfired.

i really, really suck at this game, ive only played about 10 hours (:gasp: for some of you warhawk nuts), but i got a k/d in the .3s I think.

Trying to rank up to Sergant i believe, but am having trouble getting the warhawk recruiter medal or ribbon.

yeah this is one game where you really need to know what you are doing or its no fun.

in a game like COD4, of course you are gonna be able to put a few bullets in a few people and get some kills.

In warhawk you fight somebody hand to hand and a warhawk comes and blows you both up.

You think, hey a Warhawk is the way to fight things, so you find a warhawk, within 10 sec. you have 10 missles flying at you and get blown up. Hmmmm...maybe Warhawks aren't the way to go. That take was sure giving me a lot of damage, I guess I need one of those.

You find a tank and the second you get in, it blows up from a mine. At that point you are so lost and confused on how to play the game you just want to give up.

getting better though, got 90 points in a round yesterday.

I used to play a ton, but I feel like a n00b coming back to it after a few months! If I see you on I'll try to get into your room. Problem is I can't get into the lower rookie rooms because of my level... GRRR

90 points is pretty darn good for "sucking". It just takes a little time. The thing is, the more you play the better you get. One, because of practice with the weapons and Warhawks - but mostly it's getting a sense of strategy.

There are two main reasons you die quickly/easily - You weren't paying attention/you didn't know, or someone is just more clever than you.

Learn from both. If you get in a plane and it blows up cause someone placed a mine on it, just waiting for a poor sap to get in - well, that was pretty clever. Make a note of it and use it. The more you play the more you learn what to do and what not to do.

Bah, I suck bad at TDM, i always seem to have a really low score in tdm games. I need work at hero, but i do ok. Zones, CTF, and Collection are fun. Im having a lot of fun playing collection.

Been trying like hell to get the warhawk tank ribbon. i have the kills, but i need 20 IAR kills in a tank, thats gonna be tough.

Ha. Getting that badge was childs play. Hell, I could even get up to 50 kills in a tank whenever I'm good.

As for trophies, I may have a little problem on getting the bandwidth trophy, as you see, I can only go up to 4 players on my thing and I think I need 8 and over if it has to be ranked. I've been planning on switching my internet provider, but that could have dire consequences.

Playing some 8 hours or so in the past few days and being able to count on one hand the number of maps that you were on a decent team.

Geez. Seems like every map I'm on, I'm outnumbered 2-1 to 5-1 in a Warhawk.

The last map I played last night was just pathetic. The other team had 10 Warhawks in the air to our 3. Needless to say, we lost. It became a game of spawning in at the home base and trying to get a kill before getting picked off.

Made me remember why I stopped playing to begin with.

Since I've been back, there's been about 2 maps that were good games. The rest were wildly lopsided one way or the other.

Oh well. Socom comes soon and I get my butt handed to me in that game.

Actually, it is annoying when I get blown up by my own mine (usually when I put one down and a Warhawk shoots a lightening gun is when my mines go off), but the thing I really hate it hitting my own airmine.
