It has been over a year since I saw the first season, and I felt like it would have helped to have re-watched it before watching this, but for the most part, I was able to keep up. I was actually a little worried because reception seemed pretty mixed back when it came out, but I thought it was still pretty great. I did find a lot of the court scenes to be cringeworthingly unrealistic, but other than that I was pretty immersed. The cinematography was as magnificent as ever. A truly beautiful series with an amazing cast. I was kind of unsure of having the whole Sandbrook case being integrated into the season at first, but they managed to pull me in pretty good. Really wish this series would get a US Blu-ray release.
