Does anyone know if HDNet will be showing NHL games again this year? I can only find Versus and NBC on the schedules.

I am pumped for the Wings to defend The Cup. Lets Go Red Wings!

Scary thing is, Wings got better over the offseason...

Well the one thing they have not done is get younger, those legs are getting old on that club. Sooner or later that is going to catch up to them and bite them in the rear IMO.

Im just looking for improvment from my bruins, i dont expect a cup anytime soon but being better then a 8 seed would be nice to see.

Can't help you as I am North of the border but I can say my HABS are looking to snatch that cup away from you

even if the Red Wings got stronger in the off-season

I just can't believe the season is already starting. It seems like just the other day that I was celebrating the 07-08 Cup win.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think my beloved Maple Leafs are going to suck the big one this season.

The first step is admitting it.

I hope that one day the leafs get their mojo back. I remember going to see the leafs play in Toronto when I was a kid (maybe 20 years ago). It was awesome, except that I was wearing Wings gear and people were talking smack. Nice place to watch a game though.

im just hoping the blues make it back to the playoffs this year, im pretty excited to see the new kids make their debuts, but the loss of eric johnson is not gonna make this season any easier

Well, my team can't really do worse than they did last year. One good thing they got out of it was Stamkos. Actually, they should be landing in Prague right about now...

Helm who was on the Stanley Cup winning team might be playing in Grand Rapids because the Wings have crazy depth at FWD... well at DEF as well...

plus we have Howard and Conklin fighting for the back-up role...
