Once again, a Best Buy employee is part of the problem and not part of the solution. I really, really hope you don't work in a sales position in the home theater and/or movie sections. The amount of factual errors contained in your post show that you really shouldn't be advising anyone about their purchases. Movies are works of art. You wouldn't cut the Mona Lisa to fit your brand new, fancy-schmancy frame, would you? Same concept here. Directors and cinematographers choose the aspect ratio to shoot their films in based on a number of factors (none of which have to do with the shape of your TV.) Either respect the choices made, watch it in the OAR and quit whining or use the various "zoom" features on your new TV and accept that your image will be degraded (and quit whining.) I feel like banging my head against a wall... ![]() Last edited by Steeb; 06-30-2007 at 02:17 AM. |
