Default Pinocchio Aspect Ratio

On the Sleeping Beauty Blu-ray, there is a trailer for Pinocchio, which we heard was just announced with details on the release for March.
However, the trailer is in a 4:3 ratio, aka 1.33. I thought this was just a trailer they threw on from the DVD, but then I start to think...
Wide screen movies were made to compete against television. To get a better experience in the theater, and hence worth spending the money to see a movie out, the screens and movies were made in a wider aspect ratio. Eventually they got a little crazy with cinema-scope, and some other wider formats, but usually modern films are made at 2.39:1 or 1.85:1. I realized that Pinocchio was released in 1940, making it almost 70 years old, and that is old enough for the OAR to NOT be wide screen.
I did a little sleuthing and found that Pinocchio was originally released in 1.37:1 aspect ratio, just slightly wider than the standard 4:3 TV.
So now I think the trailer WAS in HD... since it was very high quality despite the aspect ratio.
I guess what I am asking is, is this really going to be a 1.37:1, non-wide screen release? Or is it possible I am mistaken or something?

I will still get this, but I can see the complaining starting already. "Why isn't this HD? What happened to the wide screen? What's with the black boxes? Is my TV broken?" etc.etc.etc...
