I agree; I love the film but I don't own many copies of it, nor have I ever, simply because the whole thing is just a mess of different cuts, varying visual and audio quality, extras, etc. It's quite overwhelming from a near-outsider point of view and although, as said, I love the film I'm not a big enough fan to research it all, hunt out multiple copies, etc. I guess I'm still waiting for a true definitive edition... which may never come. So be it.

Hang on a minute i said i thought not that it is ( i am no expert ), i know Danny knows his stuff, but i would like to see some direct comparisons, i am not saying he is wrong.

for me it's the best release, but as usual has some faults

still I think it's good value too
esp if you don't own Happinet or XT versions, I now have choice of which I prefer Arrow or Happinet
also I never owned extended edition on BD just DVD
it would have cost me £80-£100 for Happinet box and at least £25-35 for XT versions, so I have saved some money picking this version up

I paid £31 for UHD and £21 for BD so for me it's good value

I don't think anyone was talking " nonsense" Danny, i had limited screen shots and nothing for direct comparison, or the facility to do so, which is why i asked for yours. Which to be honest is a better way of doing it than just saying it is.

Yes i find them important when i am stating something as fact, which i rarely do, but i always try to ask of the evidence of those that do sooner than a claim on an internet forum, this is no slight on you but i think you can understand the reason for asking.

Caps are up for the new transfer. The gamma is totally f**ked on the Happinet transfer. The new 4K transfer on the other hand looks great for the most part.
