On a similar note, in case anyone was wondering, 3 days later and Arrow never replied to email regarding the damage to my Taviani set. Not impressed, but I forgive them after that announcement
I've emailed them twice in the last couple of weeks about orders I've placed with them and received no reply to either. Is this a habit with them? I've only just begun ordering direct.

I've had perfect customer service with them for literally 5 years now. They've generally been quick to reply, never longer than a day, and are very good with helping about late/missing orders, sale orders not shipping etc.

But I've heard as of recent they haven't been amazing, and now I've seen this first hand. However I can't complain too much, as my sale order got sent twice after the first one went missing and then rocked up after the second one arrived, so as nice as it would be to have an undamaged Taviani set, I can settle for this

Yikes. I wanted to cancel my order of The Guyver, but they ignored it and sent it out. I ordered the House set to make sure I could guarantee a copy and would cancel it of amazon offered it at a significantly cheaper price, but I don't have any hope they'll cancel the order if or when the time comes.

Nope, I'm sure lots of folks will feel the need to collect both.

yeh suppose £8 more for a vinyl and a jigsaw, is not to bad value if that's the price

Wow it's getting pretty bad if they won't even let a customer cancel an order, that's pretty poor :/

Although i have no interest in PIECES, those box-sets are quite cool and i guess finance titles like "RETALIATION", "MASSACRE GUN" and other ones that don't sell very good.

Underwhelming month again for me. Hopefully the Academy announcements are better.

Interesting, I reckon that's been the best month Arrow has had in a very long time, a highly requested box set, an amazing upgrade and a fantastic Japanese trilogy for first time on blu ray.

What were you hoping for? I know a lot of people are keen for the Giallos already

Already have Grindhouse's Pieces release and dont see any reason to double dip.

Personally coudlnt care less about the House films and we already already have a Miike trilogy coming in Jan so was hoping for some more variety.

Also, re the Argentos, I would guess they would be 2017's big Halloween box.

All fair points, I reckon you're on the ball with the Argentos unless they leave Phantasm that late

Agree. I'm not at all interested in the releases announced, so I'm also hoping for the Academy announcements to be something nice. Looking forward to it.

Thanks, not a very good release, but at least I know I have options if the movie disappears from Netflix
Still hope someone will give it the release it deserves, though!

I'm in for the Deluxe Limited Edition of Pieces. I don't know how much it will be, but it must be mine. Who can say no to that puzzle?

Received a fraud alert text this morning from my bank for a "Specialty Retail" transaction for $55.00. After wracking my brains trying to think what it could be, turns out it's from Amazon UK - my copies of Driller Killer steelbook and the Donnie Darko set are preparing for dispatch. First time I get such an alert for an Amazon transaction but happy to get one. In this day and age you never know. Anyway, can't wait for the DD set to arrive.

In for Pieces and the House set. Will wait for Amazon links as I prefer to pay at shipping. I could get the Grindhouse release of Pieces I suppose but I tend to really love Arrow releases and encoding so might as well wait and get theirs.

I likely wouldn't be double-dipping on Pieces, except that my year-old Arrow points would just continue to gather dust otherwise, and I do dig the packaging (any chance of them going 180g for the vinyl?).

Plus, there are several exclusive extras:

Quote:
Brand new audio commentary with The Hysteria Continues

It’s Exactly What You Think It Is! – brand new featurette offering up an appreciation of Pieces by various filmmaker fans

Brand new interview with art director Gonzalo Gonzalo

I like what you did their

They've touted more than just Argento, so I hope they start rolling out the other Italian genre stuff ASAP.

So here we are 4 days later and a week after I emailed and still no reply. Life's too short for chasing up so I'm just going to have to find another case. Not major damage in the grand scheme of damages but would have been nice to have received a reply to my email.
