I agree in general, but isn't this Scarlett Johanson character in Ghost in the Shell meant to be
[Show spoiler]some cyborg thingy or something?
(going by what little I remember from watching the original anime 10-15 years ago so pardon my ignorance if I'm wrong here )
If that's the case it would make sense to have her skin look almost artificial or 'better than real life' wouldn't it?

The trailer didn't interest me enough to go see this movie and I doubt I'll buy the 4k unless it's dramatically discounted which probably won't happen for a while.

I think they should've picked a different actress, one that's more true to the original anime.

Scarlett Johansson is a good actress, but I felt this film was a waste of her talents. Her roles as of late seem a bit unemotional. I like watching her, but her best work to date is The Other Boleyn Girl.

This movie gets a pass for the time being.

It's because she's going through the motions now like DeNiro, Pacino, etc. Maybe she's just paying the rent, so to speak, and the rolls she's currently offered are not interesting to her.

Some actors can't hide their boredom.

You're probably right. Jeremy Renner caught my interest because of the roles he took such as Dahmer, Neo Ned and The Hurt Locker. Now, it's like he takes only the safe high-paying roles.

I get you gotta pay the rent, but it's just such a shame to see talent go to waste. Seems like that's the case with a lot of actors these days.

What rent do these people have to pay? LOL. They can easily live off the net pay of one single movie alone. At this point in their lives whatever they do is out of pure personal interest

I'll be getting the 4K steelbook from Best Buy and the Steelbook from Zavvi for the 3D version. It's a shame their 4K version doesn't include the 3D version, or I'd just go with the Zavvi.

Johansson seems to be accused of being "robotic" in this and Lucy, but in both movies I am sure that is a purposeful choice. She shows more personality as Black Widow IMO.

I probably jumped the gun. I forgot about Hail, Caesar. She was good in that.
