Sony BDP-S300 players hard to get?

I went to a local TV store which is well-known around here. It's one of the few "family owned" TV stores around which still turns a good profit in a world of BB's, Wal-Marts, etc.

They happen to be a Sony dealer, but had NO Sony BDP-S300's in stock. In fact, when I asked the guys standing there, two of them rolled up their eyes and pointed to one of the salesmen, who was apparently in charge of ordering them.

He said, "You're the 9th person to ask that, and no... we won't be getting more in until maybe next week."

I'm sure people who wanted them just went to BB. I believe they have them in stock.

So do you figure this guy just didn't order enough and has to wait for a truck next week, or that they're truly that difficult to get?
