I have a Pioneer Elite 710HD RPTV - 64" screen, 480P resolution. We sit 12.5 feet from screen.

We are getting a Blu-ray player (Panansonic DMP=BD55) and a new reciever (Onkyo TX-SR876) for XMAS but aren't sure about the TV. Our RPTV Pioneer picture looks great to us with regular DVD and Direct TV HD and also looks good on the SD channels we watch a lot.

We have been looking at 65" Sharp LC-65SE94U (LCD) and 67" Samsung HL-67A750 (DLP).

We have become more concerned lately about PQ on the SD channels we watch. Quite a few programs between all family members. We ASSUMED that a new generation HDTV would be better than our old Pioneer in everything...noe we are hearing that SD channels on 1080P TV are not good.

How do you find SD channel viewing on LCD vs DLP?

Thanks
