As you can see in my signature, our family's LCD is a Samsung LN-T3732H 720p 37-inch. Technically its native resolution is 768p. It has only 5,000:1 contrast ratio and 60Hz refresh rate.
In a few days, my family and I will be watching The Dark Knight on Blu-ray for our first Blu-ray viewing. I know it will be better than the DVDs we watched on this LCD. How good will it be? How much is our screen holding back the clarity of Blu-ray? Is it true that there wouldn't be much difference between 1080p and 768p on a 37-inch LCD? Thanks. |
