Default Sony Bravia 32 LCD 720p?

Is the following t.v. any good?:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1206142174666

I have made some bad decisions in the past when purchasing a new television. One big mistake I always make is not getting a warranty or researching the t.v. I finally have enough money to get a new one. I will use the t.v. solely for my PS3. An employee at Gamestop said this is the best t.v. for playing a PS3 on. I was wondering if it was a good t.v. or not. Oh and what does outlet mean? Will this t.v. be discontinued any time?

Sony makes excellent TV's, so that is a good start. Well, I believe the 32L5000" is already out, so as far as the discontinue thing, I believe they probably already have, since the next generation model for this TV is out now. By the way, I do not know how you feel about ordering TV's over the internet, but you can get the 32L5000, which again is the next generation model of the TV you are lookin at, for just $35 ($589.99 compared to $564.99) more from Amazon right now. The 5000 model has a better contrast ratio (13,000 to 1, as the 4000 is only 2,000 to 1) and 1 more HDMI port, so for just $35, you get a better TV than the 32L4000. I recommend getting the 5000. Just a thought and good luck!

No offense man, but don't take that advice too seriously. Sounds like a typical bonehead Gamestop employee not knowing what the heck he is talking about.

Anyways, getting back on topic here...I think you'd be very happy with Samsung, and that Sony you posted looked decent. Specs weren't overly impressive, but then again its not supposed to be. For a 32" set, you're obviously going to be getting an LCD set. What is your budget? That'll give us a point to start out at. If i were you, i'd take a serious look at Samsung.

I'd say that's a pretty good set. User reviews are very positive, but there are other options out there. I'm not sure what your budget is, but if you want the best price maybe you should consider THIS Samsung for $497.99. Its a comparable set for less money at the moment. If its not available at Best Buy in your area then Sears also has it for $499.99 right now. If you can up your budget a bit more then look at THIS 40" Toshiba. Its 1080p and $749.99 shipped. Another good option would be THIS new Panasonic 42" plasma for $799.99 shipped. Its 720p, but I think it will give you the best picture you can get for the money. If you're not interested in plasma then look at THIS 42" JVC which is 1080p. It won't have the deepest blacks but JVC sets have superb video processing which is great for gaming. Its $798 shipped. A cheaper option is THIS 37" Sharp 720p set for $668.66 shipped.

i just the 32L5000 which as someone stated is the newer model of the TV you want. i found mine for $599 i believe it was at walmart about a week or so ago. so far i am very happy with it. my HD channels look amazing on it, the color and picture is amazing on it. ive been watching basketball on it lately even though i hate basketball just for the clear picture. its a great TV, you wont be disappointed.

I agree. I was Sony TV fan for 20 years.
But when I bought My Samsung TV, I study LCD TV for 2months.
You may be like Sony but first consider specs and values.
