There should never be a reason why anyone should ever defend Monster for selling what they sell at the prices they sell them. I've heard people say "people can choose to pay for them or they can choose not to." That arguement holds no water. First of all, the customer probably doesn't know any better. Second, the customer sees all the marketing BS and hears all the hype and sales pitches from people who push Monster Cables. Third, if you told the customer that they could get the same quality cable elsewhere outrageously cheaper, they'd listen and probably not even consider Monster Cable. It's not unlikely that Monster products don't go bad and their warantee is proabably a good piece of mind. True, until you realize, the $2 HDMI cable that you "decided" not to get also has a Lifetime Warantee too. Then finally, you hear that your local putt-putt place is in financial troubles because they're being sued by Monster Cable for trademark infringement. My work here is finished.
