Default HDMI Cables

Can anybody suggest a good place to get good hdmi cables? I normally buy from monoprice.com but withthe site being closed and everything, is there a comparable place to turn to? And could you also tell me what kind of hdmi cables I should be buying? It's for a tv to cable and tv to ps3 hookups. Looking for the same quality and price as monoprice. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi. I have 2 or 3 HDMI cables. as far as what kind there is no difference they all have hte same plug. But to answer your questions. I got al mine off of ebay. I have been using them for a whoole solid year plus. ANd not a single problem. That is where I normally get all my A/V cables form actually. I believe you can get smae price if not a bit cheaper from there. And yes they have different lengths. I believe both are 6ft.

I have all Blue Jeans HDMI Cables. I like that I can get them in 1 foot increments. Makes it easier to cable manage them.

exactly. its just a money making scheme. And at bestbuy, they tell you that you need the $100 monster cable inorder to get the full high def pic quality. Total BS

BlueJeans has a low price alternate here: http://www.tartancable.com/hdmi-cables/index.htm Not quite as cheap as monoprice, but the cables themselves are better built IMO (though there won't be a difference in functionality for short runs). I have been using the various Bluejeans HDMI and DVI cables for a long time and I highly recommend them.

I have a couple of short HDMIs from Monoprice. They work great, but I really don't like how stiff they are. They're so stiff the plugs have actually bent. I have no complaints about them, but if I could do it over again I would buy from Blue Jeans. They're a great company.

I have an $80 Monster HDMI cable, that was thrown in as a bonus when I bought my set. I also have a $7 Monoprice cable, which works just fine. However, the Monoprice cable's HDMI connector doesn't sit in as well as the Monster connector, so that's a bit annoying. To be honest, HDMI connectors never seem to sit in tightly anyway, but the Monoprice one seems to be slightly looser.

Anyway, the difference in tightness wouldn't be worth the $73 price difference. Fortunately, I didn't actually pay for the Monster cable.

lets show some love for Rix labs. I have been using them for quite some time and they have solid pricing.

Default Cable

When you want to buy HDMI Cable, please make sure the quality is good enough to play PS3 or Xbox high end graphic game. Many website sell cheap HDMI cables because manufactures do reduce the mateiral of the cordage (lower spec).
