Do you know how to activate the card? I got mine 2 days ago but there is no "Next Bill Date" listed in the app so I can't really tell if this thing is active or not..

Not completely out of the ordinary. It is possible there was an error with the api to get showtimes. A cron job at midnight reset everything fixing the error.

App stopped showing all showtimes for all theaters. No lists would populate. Rendering their service unusable from about 8pm (mountain time) until 12:01am. So basically, after 8pm, nobody could use their pass for the remainder of Thursday. But everything was normal about Friday. Reeks of hitting a "limit" of tickets for the day, and shutting down the app until the following day. Like they have an allotment of tickets they're allowing themselves to buy on a daily basis.

This whole ticket allotment issue (allegedly) is exactly why I'm glad I frequent the theaters during less hectic times on the weekdays while school/work are in session.
I tend to avoid the weekends often enough as it is, and this would potentially give me even more reason to do so unless I'm wise enough to punch in my movie of choice early in the day between Thursday-Sunday. Can you imagine if these limits continue all the way to December? All the people getting denied for The Last Jedi would cause hysteria I don't even want to think about. |

Oh you know we're all going to pay for our last jedi tickets anyway. We're going to want to reserve them well in advance and get IMAX 3D presentation or whatever.

Movie pass bungles its first big test with subscribers to its $9.95 a month service
from Rob Cain via Forbes Movie ticket subscription purveyor MoviePass is off to a rocky start with its newly reduced-cost pricing plan, with delays in delivering membership cards to new subscribers and a significant number of customers complaining that a buggy app is preventing them from getting in to the movies they were expecting to see... ...numerous subscribers report that the MoviePass app doesn’t work, or even worse, it appears to work on the phone but upon the user’s arrival at the theater it is declined, leaving the subscriber without the ticket they were expecting... ...Of the 2,500 users who have rated the app, approximately half gave it the lowest possible rating of one star out of five.
