OK, we were talking about how this is one movie that could possibly benefit from a reboot. And so I started thinking about who would make a great central foursome. Hmm. Also, this is not to imply that there's anything wrong with the original. It's still fun -- saw it recently, actually. But as the original poster pointed out it could benefit from a more modern technological approach.
So, we have four characters to concern ourselves with: Sarah Bailey (Robin Tunney) Nancy Downs (Fairuza Balk) Bonnie (Neve Campbell) Rochelle (Rachel True) So, the first one who popped into my head for Bonnie was Hailee Steinfeld. She's so beautiful and so talented. I could definitely see Victoria Justice as Sarah. Unfortunately, I don't know if she has the chops since I've never seen her in anything. Nina Dobrev would be excellent for Nancy. And yeah, she's 28, but it's not like Fairuza Balk was a kid when they made the original. Amandla Stenberg would be an interesting choice for Rochelle. She's pretty young at 18, but at least I know some of her work from the Hunger Games. |
