Default Why do you think J6P will embrace Blu-ray?

I have both the 360 add on and a PS3 so I support both. I have always believed that J6P would benefit more from HD DVD if HD DVD combo's could be priced at DVD prices.

I just don't see J6P buying new players to watch movies that can only be watched on these new players. While they might buy some, DVD is just in too many places to be put aside and forgotten. Those of us that have either format are what I would consider High Def enthusiasts. J6P isn't. I just see J6P needing DVD for quite some time to come.

How can it be any other way? What would get J6P to leave DVD in the dust and adopt Blu-ray? I really think both formats may end up just being niche formats until something replaces them eventually.
