Does this mean that Disney would get the rights to all prior productions of FOX Studios, such as the original Star Wars and all of the FOX X-Men movies? What about the Simpsons? Also, do you think that they'd discontinue the FOX X-Men universe? What would happen to Deadpool? Finally, would Disney use the FOX name and logo or just present all of the properties they obtain from FOX under the Disney brand (and the Marvel Studios brand for X-Men and Fantastic 4)?

No one is saying that, but as a movie fan, which we all are here, one should have an opinion on production studios and be free to express their opinion on the subject, here on this forum, without judgement or wise-ass remarks from those who want to use their own personal political views and moral values as a convenient bullet to fire against anyone they disagree with. I sense you're a Disney/Marvel fanboy, so you probably love the idea of Fox being acquired by them, and that's okay if that's what you want, but what isn't okay is bringing up irrelevant, albeit bigger, problems of the world and making it sound like anyone who is voicing a concern over this Disney/Fox thing has their ethical priorities screwed up, because there are worse things going on in the world. Sure there is, but this ain't the place to discuss the problems of the world -- it's a place to discuss movies and related topics, like production studios. If it's a discussion you don't want to add to, then why chime in?

Yes, you are right this is exactly the place to discuss your concerns and worries about a corporate merger being bad.

Why wouldn't this be the place for it? I'm sure the merger will be great for a lot of people, good business and all that, but the ripple effect it has on properties and the creative side of things is definitely something any movie fan should be concerned with. Disney has a reputation of commercializing everything and distilling it down to wholesome family level entertainment. Not everything is meant to be brand name property franchise rated PG. Some things need to be edgy and subversive enough to break that mold. Who knows, maybe Disney will expand their normal boundaries with the Fox acquisition, but my "worries" or "concerns" (as first world as they may be) are that they will stifle any artistic creativity, not just with the superhero properties, but also on science fiction and horror properties which Fox holds the rights to.

If this doesn't concern you, that's fine, if you don't want to speak about it, but if it bothers you that much that others do want to speak about it, especially compared to that of bigger third world problems, then I think maybe there's a UNICEF forum somewhere that would love to hear your thoughts.

This isn't political, not republican or democrat, not liberal or conservative, but it is very informative.

I used to worry about a combined first world issue -- movies I hoped to see and -- a real world problem "the big one" a gigantic earthquake destroying California and therefore there wouldn't be any major movies made for years.

Now it seems as though N Korea has surpassed an earthquake as the most likely cause that the Hollywood Movie industry will be destroyed.

Sam Alexander? Take that crap someplace else. There's only one real Nova, and that's Richard Rider.

I'll take the guy who killed Annihilus by shoving his fist down his throat and ripping out his internal organs.

Along those lines, I would love to see Annihilus show up in the MCU. They need to expand the cosmic storylines after the fourth Avengers movie.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Will Introduce The Multiverse To The Marvel Cinematic Universe

https://www.comicbookmovie.com/ant-m...iverse-a155850

I suppose the Multiverse could potentially do what Flashpoint is rumored to do for DC. It could be a way of soft rebooting the MCU and allowing them to recast certain characters, while also crossing over with alternate universes, even bringing in the Fox-held properties, like FF and X-Men -- giving them a new starting point, while still acknowledging the existence of past continuity.

Wasn't the Multiverse mentioned in Doctor Strange?

If true, then ALL Marvel movies even those not in the MCU are part of this Multiverse so to speak.

Yes, I believe it was mentioned. But maybe Ant-Man and Wasp will explore it more.

I get your concern but if they do decide to do a Nova movie, they will probably go with the kid that is the current Nova. From a marketing (or money-making) standpoint it makes sense. It will get more people interesting in his ongoing solo and team comics while increasing sales and bring in the younger audience. Plus, he already has a following on the small screen from his inclusion in the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon.

All of these Marvel movies have always been part of a multiverse. MCU's universe is called Earth-199999 and X-Men's film universes are Earth-10005 (original), Earth-TRN414 (current timeline). Not to mention the fact that both Marvel and Fox share the film rights to The Watchers, who watch over the multiverse. So in a weird way, The Watchers from both MCU and X-Men film universe are aware of each other. James Gunn almost even addressed this in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2., where Stan Lee's character said he worked as a DJ in a strip club once (Deadpool reference). However, the line in the movie was removed for obvious reasons.
