It is absolutely hilarious that anyone would complain about not being able to see a particular movie using a service for which they paid a measly $10/month when most of the tickets they buy using the service are more than the cost of a single month of the service. It is the equivalent of throwing a temper tantrum in Costco because the cheese & cracker samples ran out before you could get one. Mark Last edited by MEB; 03-09-2018 at 07:50 PM. |

They are blocked out. Now if it actually is the same cost as a regular ticket, you can use the "check in with movie missing" option. But if they start checking stubs for everyone, doing that for blocked showings (either by format, or when they block a film in certain markets like Red Sparrow) could get your account in trouble.

Good Lord, evidently I hit a nerve. I really don’t care that much, it’s just if the movie had been 2D for $6, there would’ve been no problem, and I was always under the impression MoviePass didn’t support 3D because of pricing, not as a general rule. I was just making conversation, as I really don’t intend to see Star Wars again, since I just did last week. LOL Last edited by Falaskan; 03-09-2018 at 06:41 PM. |

Premium formats of any kind are not included in the current plan, regardless of price. If you absolutely must see something in 3D, large format, etc, that will be one ticket you will have to pay for out of pocket. Deal with it. |

Why have you had to upload tickets? In the 5 months or s0 I have had MP, I have never had any issues.

Whether it is a "measly" $1, $10, or $100.... People are paying for a service that is stating one thing, and not delivering. That is not good. |

What happens if you don't submit the ticket? Do they charge you extra? Do they cancel your service?
$10 was too low to set the price and now the company is trying hard to limit the use. They are still hemorrhaging money. |

After checking into a movie you may see a ticket verification banner appear on your confirmation screen. This is requiring you to submit a picture of your ticket stub after purchasing a movie ticket with your MoviePass card- so hold onto your stubs! If you receive a request for ticket verification you must complete the process. You will not be able to use the app or check into theaters until you complete verification (or submit an explanation for why you don’t have your ticket stub). You can submit a picture of your ticket stub at any time before your next check-in. Your account could be affected if you fail to submit pictures of your ticket stubs when prompted. |

No, they're trying to stop people from abusing it. Like always, a few greedy unscrupulous people are trying to ruin something for everyone else,

Also, why would anyone be upset about this, unless they are improperly using the service and are now afraid they'll get caught? |

Once again, I was able to successfully check in from the app at my house. That makes it a grand total of three times it's slipped by just fine. I live about two miles away from the AMC theater. Has this ever happened to someone on here? Is this weird? I've never heard of anybody else being able to do something like it.

Let him bellyache. Being that I was pointing out, what I thought, was a policy flaw re: a $6 ticket for a 3D film (that I wasn’t even seeing), the “entitlement” overreaction becomes increasingly ironic, and wouldn’t benefit him to respond. |

You're so right. The ingenuity about MoviePass is that, even if people do get pissed, they simply won't cancel...especially if they're high-end users of the service! All of us are getting too used to the 9.95 price point that it's going to be quite hard to ever go back to the old-school way. No wonder why AMC is a bit sketched out. They're changing the game and within a few more years, they'll have a total stranglehold on the market. Theaters will soon be forced to bow down to them; the leverage MP's currently holstering is massive. And it'll only get stronger. If they raise prices ala Netflix, we'll still stay. What's another five bucks? This mindset that they anticipate creates success over time.
