Because they're the only way to watch them without the speedup. When you run something filmed at 24 frames per second at 25 frames per second, it runs faster than intended and results in a higher pitch for the audio. This can be corrected, but I checked both The Black Cat and Sounds Like against the DVDs and the pitch is indeed higher. To be honest, though, you might not even notice it. I notice it mostly when there's a piece of music I know well.
