Default Such a noob to this, but ..

I just picked up a Samsung LN52A850 and BDP1500. Was a decent deal and I've been floored by the PQ of this TV. Not so impressed with the BD, but could be more than one reason for that, lol (i have zero clue about settings for the BD picture quality or if the 1500 is even decent).

Anyways, .. I've been looking now at getting a receiver and speakers to compliment the new tv and bd.

After reading some threads here, I've been thinking about the 606 Onkyo or the V663 Yamaha. Seems the Yamaha has the better video processing, but who knows. This will be an all purpose system that needs to handle music and bd's well, .. any opinions on this would really help.

The speakers are an issue for me as well, .. the room is awkward and I don't se any setup that will allow for rear surround speakers to be used. Is a sound bar option best? .. or could I find a center channel speaker to use with my Infinity Primus 150's that will do ok?

Looking to get into the receiver and speakers for under 1k.

Have been reading many threads here and am a bit fuzzy headed at the moment, hehe. Any advice would be great and appreciated.

Thanks
