The acoustics actually help at the back a bit since behind it is a hollow stairway and no insulation on that wall. As for the fronts don't know if it does anything for the room but I'm sure it helps the neighbors a bit since their master bedroom is just across the other side of that wall. Those are actually dividers from office desks that they trashed at work so I grabbed them and my wife put better fabric over top.

And yes I am actually married with kids and we all love movies and music so I'm happy my wife OK'd the upgrade not even a year after our first purchase

And to add to the upgrade - I ended up ordering an ED A2-300 about 20 mins ago.... Damn that thread!! Hope the fees to Canada ain't too bad
