What does it take to get amazon to pricematch Walmart these days? Wally World has had this set for $29.96 for a while, which amazon was pricematching for several weeks at least. But since the other box set had been below $20, I decided to wait for my next GC from doing surveys to bring it down a little more to fool myself into thinking I'm not getting ripped off, even though I'm aware that the days of overstock liquidation are slowing coming to an end, so sub $20 might not be a realistic expectation anymore.
A couple days before I reach my point quota, amazon stops matching Walmart, jacking the price to $36 and hasn't budged since. I've put in about a half dozen "tell us about a lower price" messages, both linking online and physical stores, with no affect. I'll buy from Walmart before wasting even a buck of my GC on amazon's greed. Afterall taking surveys in my free time only pays $2 per hour at best; usually it's a lot lower. So there ain't no way I'm going to waste any part of a GC, when it's more valuable than my weekly paycheck by a mile in terms of how much time I've got to devote to earn it. |
