I don’t buy stuff from wowhd as much. When I do it’s for stuff I can’t get in the UK, and it usually gets to me within 8 days. Recently orders the special edition of face/off on Saturday 5 May and it arrived today. It’s the same with deepdiscount, I ordered saving private Ryan 4K blu-ray got the dispatch notice on the 3rd May and got it today as well. For me that is fast delivery.

Me also waiting for stuff that was shipped on 2nd May. Never had to wait this long before. Guess it's held up due to the Bank Hols.

My item was sent on the 2nd and has arrived today. Suspect they just fly over a bulk shipment when they have enough, I think sometimes you get lucky with the date or have to wait a few days extra. 8-12 days is normal for me unless Easter or Christmas bank holidays.

Following up from the 'all your music' disappearance from Amazon discussion in the Criterion UK thread, I contacted them re whether or not they had ceased trading and they just said "Thank you for contacting us. We do not list on amazon.uk at the moment" as if they never did to start with .

Just went to buy 2 items from all_your_music on ebay.co.uk (I assume all_your_music is the ebay name for WOW-HD?) and got this message:

This seller has been identified by HMRC as not being compliant with UK VAT rules, so we have restricted their sales to UK buyers. We recommend that you search for similar items from other compliant sellers.

Haven't ordered anything for Wow HD recently as the £ is a bit crap and their prices have all gone up. I hope this All Your Music e-Bay ban isn't bad omen for the company.

fingers crossed. suspect that although it wouldn't necessarily cause sites to have to do more than be compliant and declare where and when you'd be at risk of charges as a buyer. items still fit within the duty limit on wowhd - imagine ebay are doing a blanket limitation according to a policy or overall punishment of a third party tarnishing their business. think we're more likely to see compliance issues spread to other retailers within that, and it being hard to be customs friendly there, than anything else.

I've noted a general increase in prices on Amazon marketplace and eBay though. They were a very competitive bunch and the price wars made for some good prices. Take one of those out of the equation and the prices for what I've been looking to buy as new releases are a couple of quid at least higher than I'm used to. Along with the weakened pound from a couple of years ago it's giving me even more pause.

Think about this too... WowHD NEVER have discount vouchers, whereas there's one never too far around the corner with the sister sites. Deep Discount had a 15% off code, this very week.

The Amazon.com marketplace seller secondspin (used discs, good shipping rate to UK) is part of the same group I discovered today. Same address in Kentucky and same redirection address within the UK.
