I just preordered...the con is that I had to pick store pick up to avoid a $10 shipping charge, so no way I get it early.

Dang now I have to decide if I want the steelbook or not. I still wonder if the digitals will be separated?

Just canceled my Amazon order and this did. Thanks for the heads up. I guess it's worth the extra $5?

Why is there a $10 shipping charge? Don’t they ship for free for over $35?

The free method still wouldn’t get to you in 6 days? That sucks.

That is very true! I've never tried to contact them about the glue issue on their other cardboard sleeve releases, but it seems like it's been too many years for that product. I briefly considered just swapping the discs out into my Blu-ray trilogy case (like, really? Why couldn't they just do that again), but I guess we'll find out in less than a week if people have issues or not with the case.

I'm just stoked to see my favorite series on our 65" OLED, in 4K with HDR. Excited to see the final consensus from whomever reviews it for the site, too. I'm surprised there isn't one up already! Don't they usually review these big titles a week or so before release?

You are totally right. I just pre-ordered yesterday, when it was $69.99. Logged in today after reading your post, and sure enough, it dropped $15. I called Best Buy customer service about it and they did credit my account back the $15 difference for the pre-order drop. Thanks so much for the heads-up, man!

For those debating between steelbook and the standard edition, now the difference in price seems so negligible. Very exciting!

EDIT: The refund, including taxes, was actually $16.05, FYI, and could be more for those of you who pre-ordered it at a higher cost.

Difficult decision, but decided to cancel Amazon and order the Steelbook from BB. Getting the $1 off for store pickup as well as getting reward points for my short climb left to elite plus. Packaging doesn't really matter either (as long as the discs don't come scratched) since I'll probable stick the 4k discs into the nice individual steels I have.

Are some of the revisionist details in this new traspher? Like removing wires and such?

Just pre-ordered the Best Buy steelbook collection. While I'm not a steelbook collector by any means I HATE the cardboard book type packaging. And since the steelbook set is only $5 more expensive I went that route.

I'm not into steelbooks, but it looks like they're stored in the outer box from the regular series and comes with $15 cash to see the new one. I'm seriously tempted. I also like the classic logos on the steelbooks.

There was stuff changes for the 3d scan, like the wires that mobed the car in the trex scene, and a hair from hammonds head. Check it out here

They should use fake dinosaurs instead of real, because like Dr Malcom have said, life cant be contained, it always break free and finds a way
