Whaddaya know, them "sources" again. I keep telling myself that I MUST stop ragging on the Bits but it's damned uncanny the way that their news keeps on popping up after folks be stating release schedules and whatnot up in here.

The veracity of Mr. Hunt's "insider sources" aside, I'm curious about this one, as he says it's being issued by Disney (rather than Universal) and I wonder why Disney would start down the 4K Marvel catalog road with this title rather than, say, Iron Man before it. Perhaps they anticipate it being a lower seller among MCU catalog, so they're using it as a test-bed for viability of the whole enterprise. Just spit-balling here, but the move has me raising an eyebrow.

Now the question is how dated will the CGI look at low-res scans for JP I? Any chance that they get re-scanned in 4K?

Yes! I can finally own the first movie and Lost World! The blu-ray transfers were so bad I just couldn't do it. Here's to hoping they don't mess it up.

What do you mean? The elements are baked in on old CGI aren't they?...

What I do know is the Blu-ray made the CGI look good, considering how low res and dated. So UHD should just scale that result.

Other than the talking raptor dream, I prefer the 3rd over the 2nd as well, and easily.
