. The director tells the audience to not reveal any spoilers (that makes me more excited lol).

Also the review embrago lifts June 5th which is super early and very unusual. It’s a good sign though since it means Universal has faith that the film turned out very well.

They seem like very positive so far with just a bit of mixed. They’re pretty early of course, but it’s nice to read that it is a little more horror-oriented. The director definitely has the chops for nice visual horror story-telling after seeing El Orfanato.

To be fair, that'll probably be me. This may not be the typical Bayona film like his previous ones and way more Hollywood-ish which makes sense.

Guess it isn’t early then. It’s still a good sign though. Some studios use that strategy of releasing it in foreign markets earlier expecting good reviews so that once it does get released here people are more excited and more willing to go.

This was always slated for 8th release here, but as often happens it creeps earlier in the week from the usual Friday new movie day; to wed or even tuesday evening for some movies(Deadpool 2 came out with screenings from 6pm on the Tues...)

I just assumed it would be the same week for you guys

Saw the AMC Dolby Cinema trailer for this, which thankfully didn't give away anything about the story. Just some brief glimpses of dinos and a couple bits of the Goldblum monologue. The shot of the Mosasaurus leaping out of the water while the guy dangle's off the chopper was nuts. Can't wait to see the full version of that sequence.
