Oh ok, well there ya go, if the audio isnt a biggie for you then it's ok for you to be fine with the UK release. Smokey & the Bandit is just one of those films where iv seen it so many times growing up and so ingrained in me, that the change in sound would be jarring to me.

Same thing goes with The Cannonball Run. I only got that on Blu-Ray a few months ago, and i hadnt seen it probably for at least 25 years, but because i watched it quite alot when younger and it's printed in my head, the changed audio on the Blu-Ray stuck out like a sore thumb to me. Altho it didnt seem to have to many changes, apart from 2 or 3 dialogue related changes i noticed, it was the engine noises that had the most consistent change.
