You can use it immediately at e-ticketing theaters if you happen to have any in your area. The website has a list of some of them. In my area the only e-ticketing theaters are Studio Movie Grill and Landmark Theaters. You’d have to wait for the card to use it anywhere else.

Ah okay, thanks for the responses
![]() Do they charge you at signup (even though you have to wait weeks for the card ?) or has that wait time gotten better since when it first launched and there were so many complaints over that |

You get charged at signup IIRC, but the wait time for the card in the mail is better than last year in the fall when everyone and their grandmother subscribed.
Edit: Looked at my e-mails, and while I signed up on 8/16, they charged me on the 19th and the same day every month thereafter. |

If moviepass allows us to eventually purchase tickets online then the AMC one has nothing on it in my opinion. The freedom to go where I choose is huge for me and surge pricing isn't a huge deal for me because I typically don't care about the popular films like marvel/dc
I find it interesting how many want to see moviepass fail when its been such an incredibly useful and cheap sub to have. Last edited by LegacyCosts; 06-23-2018 at 11:41 PM. |

I did see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom without issues or added fees with my Movie Pass today. I must have done something wrong because it was such a smooth experience. Even submitting a photo of my stub was painless. |

But its charging less than the cost of one movie (in most markets) for a nearly unlimited buffet of movies. Does anyone seriously think that would last? |

Will likely never happen with anything but small theater chains. If they allowed it with chains like AMC, people would buy tickets from home even on days they dont actually go just to accumulate Stubs points

Allowing advanced purchasing would maybe even drive more people to subscribe so they have peace of mind on weekend evening screenings, all while still adhering to the rules once they’re at the building. |

I posted that yesterday, it was in their Facebook update
Then cancel your subscription, at least they are offering one waiver a month. |

You can “reserve” etickets for some theaters and earn points for them. I do with Starlight Cinemas.
