Also (and I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious), why do you only post on the TT thread? Are you an employee of theirs, trying to drum up additional business? You seem all too eager to give updates as to 'low quantities', but why don't we see you on the Kino, Criterion, or Shout/Scream Factory threads?

The only drama that's being caused in this thread is by you. Whenever someone even does something on this thread as simple as correcting a small mistake you may have made (as klauswhereareyou did), you lash out like an infant who just crapped his diaper.

Also, nobody's trolling here. I simply commented on a friend's post, and then you had to jump back into my business and straight-up lie about your suspension not happening. Calling BS on liars happens to be one of my favorite hobbies, so thank you very much for that fun, but I really don't feel like getting into it with you again. I've got better things to do with my time, and arguing with you is boring.

I'll leave you with some unsolicited advice though: grow a thicker skin and try not to annoy the rest of the posters here. But if you try lying again, I will be more than happy to go another few rounds with you. The last time didn't end so well for you, and I can promise you the same result if it happens again.

Yeah this is probably the most organized and least dramatic of all the label threads I've seen on here. I wish I could say the same about WAC's thread. That one time of constant arguing of what an "auteur" vs. a "craftsmen" was dreadful; then a weird one of Clint Eastwood vs. Charles Bronson that somehow got strangely political (I missed out on the actual posts). I don't mind low quantity updates but having an update 24/7 with the same old info (sometimes the exact thing posted) is just a waste.

You know, I don’t really mind the frequent LQA updates. This is a thread about a limited edition line, so getting a head’s up when something is in imminent danger of going OOP might be useful to someone. Of course, maybe once per day would be sufficient.

Seriously, dude, we don't need to have every individual sale of every individual title documented for posterity. Once every 24 hours would probably be more than enough but would certainly be sufficient. Three updates on a single page when nothing is actually changing information-wise is overkill. Not sure why you keep ignoring polite requests to tone it down, but this sort of information flood doesn't help anybody, and you're clearly getting overly emotional by how much work you're putting in.

For some strange reason I felt compelled to order The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I don't know why. It was as if I couldn't get that title out of my head. Anyway, I ordered it and Roots of Heaven.

I say the e-mails and Facebook posts that TT puts out would be more than enough. Maybe only post when they show their limited quantity alerts. For most of these titles, we really don't need multiple posts to tell us a certain title is almost sold out since for a long time we've known they have been.

TT themselves generally do a superb job of alerting about limited quantity through social media posts and e-mails. All of the posts really cause an overload and you clearly get very emotional about it, which I just don't see how helpful it is for anyone.

I can promise everyone here that the Low Quantity Alert in the first post of this thread is kept as up-to-date as possible whenever TT makes new quantity or sell-out announcements. I even put the dates of the latest change. It isn't a perfect system - since the quantity announcements are generally for a few titles at a time and some may go several cycles without a new number update while others on the list get updated. All of this is clearly stated in the first post. The updates are official from Twilight Time. I do not play a "cart game" with the two websites, as one enthusiastic member here does regularly. I don't have the time or energy for that.

I hope members here check the first page of this thread, because I do spend time on it regularly.

BTW, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie is now officially sold out. Congratulations to those who have snagged a copy. It's a great film, with a well deserved Oscar winning performance from Maggie Smith.

While I do find it a bit tiresome to wade through so many posts with constant updates, I really think that bdgking means well with what he does. I hope he wasn't suspended merely for being too enthusiastic.

I seem to remember a time when Twilight Time was more active or more regular in making low quantity update alerts ...at least through email or even on this forum. Nowadays it seems like Facebook is the favorite/preferred place to make any official announcements. Not everybody is a regular Facebook user. I appreciate hearing any updates in these forums ... because I get email alerts through this forum, whereas I don't receive any alerts from Facebook (unless I'm logged into Facebook at the time).

Yeah many titles have sold out with no low quantity alert. Twilight time is not always on the ball with the low quantity updates.

Yeah, I guess I appreciate it that if Twilight Time isn't going to make updates along the way, that somebody is making us aware. (That in no way is a criticism of oildude or anybody else. Oildude does a fantastic job!)
