Default The eve of my purchase? Need advice

Well, I have been reviewing searching the Net for over 3 months now, (really its been over a yearm but who is counting ) Really looking hard for over 3 months now. (especially this forum, great stuff here) I am looking at upgrading my 5 year old 52" Toshiba Rear Projection DLP. 720p/1080i With my Blu-Ray collection reaching 30, I am getting the itch to upgrade to a 1080p screen. I debated back and forth between the LCD's and Plasma (never ending battle) I chose to look at LCD's due to there less (glare-affect) and non-image burn. Since I have a PS3 and play several games I think an LCD is ideal for my situation, Behind my seating area is a huge bay window, which will cast reflection on any Plasma I go with and to some extent some LCD's with the new reflective screens. (The Samsung line)

That's why I have narrowed my search to the Samsung 52LNA630 they have it for $2199 @ Best Buy (Canadian) and I also found it for $1999 @ Leons (Canadian) and Best Buy will match that price. Is that a good deal for this set? Remember its Canadian Dollars I am dealing with here, LOL I have heard great reviews for the 630 and its brother the 650. Main question is am I going to notice a great deal in quality over my old DLP? I found that the DLP's give great colours and blacks, big draw back is the depth/bulkness of these units, and the "bulb" that has to be replaced every so many hours. Or am I better off waiting (AGAIN) hate playing the waiting game, you could wait tell your blue in the face, with the never ending technological cycle out there, but thats another story in its own right. Waiting for the Samsung 950 and its LED lighting which appears to be the future, I saw this set, and its jaw dropping, but I can't justify the $4000+ price tag.

Could really use some advice here, on the night of my purchase. Am I making the right move going with an LCD, (coming from a DLP) and is the Samsung A630 a quality set.

Please advise
thank you kindly......great forum.
