Default Building a wall to partially enclose a basement home theater

Which means I will need to add a wall.
I was in the same boat as you with regard to adding a wall or not. I ended up adding one from the wall with the screen to the first support pole, and I'm glad I did. I think it directs the sound within the listening area better, and gives the space a cozier feel without completely enclosing the room. Check out this link: http://www.finishabasement.com/progr...n_decision.htm. There are pictures of that it would have looked like with a full wall, 1/2 wall, and no wall. There is also a top-down view of the floor layout, and more views of the theater area at: http://www.finishabasement.com/desig...n_software.htm and thoughout the site.

Since your room is a similar shape and layout as mine, this may be helpful for you.
