I like these prices but I'm waiting to see if Bullmoose drops their price to match. I'd much rather give them my business.

I guess it depends on who is behind the mastering work but I've found a fair number of Lionsgate's UHDs to be marginal upgrades at best. These Rambo films are owned by StudioCanal and they don't exactly have a glowing record. Halloween, on the other hand, looked fantastic and at least the first Evil Dead flick is getting mostly good reviews so far so it appears that LG-initiated scans are going to be mostly good. The prices on these are great but that doesn't necessarily mean this will be a good value. I'll wait for reviews.

Besides T2 (which was James Cameron’s own fault) when else have they failed? The Deer Hunter is one of the top five UHD releases so far this year.

The recent LG 4K’s have been excellent and I have no reason to believe these will be any different. Also, my Canadian SC remastered BD’s look very nice so if they use those masters as the base we’ll be in for a treat. I’m not worried about these.

American Psycho is gorgeous as well. Lionsgate also get bonuses for using 100GB discs and having most if not all the bonus features on the UHD disc. Sure some of their early releases were rough (Kick Ass and 3:10 to Yuma) but they've learned a lot since then.

As for where they failed, they had several early releases completely broken which they never fixed, then they used film-outs for a while which arguably look worse than the blu-rays. That's where their bad rep is coming from. Their more recent stuff generally looks great. |

Lionsgate UHD encoding is pretty dang good from just the ones I own. SC, while I only own The Deer Hunter, looks much better than most of their BD encodes. You can go either way.

Why have that listed if they are not going to price match? |

That's about what I figured, both Lionsgate and SC seem to have gotten a decent handle at UHD at this point, going by their recent releases.
