Kelly was beautiful in 1986, but now she unfortunately does look like Tom's mum, having aged rather badly (especially for an actress).

Wow. Guess not having had the same level of success has turned her into a "regular" looking person. Tom after all has kept busy and thrived in his career whereas some of his co stars haventand hence lost 'relevance' to most modern audiences l.

Gotta agree with others, it's refreshing for Tom's love interest to be around his age.

Sorry, but out of everything in that picture. GORGEOUS is the only way to describe that bike

Oh, Jen looks like a throwback to the original Top Gun look Kelly had.

Not sure if it’s been posted, but if this is true, it’s pretty crazy. Tom Cruise never ceases to amaze me.

I guess flying that helicopter in M:I-Fallout encouraged him to learn to fly jets

First of all, that "article" was originally from The Sun.

Secondly, civilians aren't even allowed to operate government military equipment.

Thirdly, Top Gun is still filming and hasn't shut down. It's scheduled to shoot through the spring.

Supposedly he might be doing some of his own flying for the movie, just not in anything that lands on aircraft carriers or goes on bombing raids.

not really, since an early age, he’s had an authentic passion for fixed wing aviation - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...n#post15723486

When Tom Cruise lands a jet in your driveway, you can tell him you’re sorry.

A good question for folks to ponder is whether this is one of those F/A-18 variants which are configured with a throttle and stick (dual flight controls) for training – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post15675365

More like I was asking folks to think about whether the pictured jet could act as a trainer, i.e. the aviator in the aft seat also has full control of the jet, if needed, rather than him/her only acting as a RIO (like Goose in Top Gun). Tom’s got to learn in something other than a simulator.

Anyway, here’s a question. Does anyone know what actor once owned and flew a jet fighter, albeit a demiled one (no ordnance), to do the air shows for a time back in the day. Think Star Trek person.
