To be honest I get confused as to which titles are with SC and which are with Lionsgate since the recent distribution deal between the two.

Yeah, same. Extreme Prejudice is something I've been wanting for years and years. I finally have some hope.

I believe StudioCanal also holds the rights to the Pianist and Ghost Dog, so really hoping that might be able to happen, but who knows. Really excited to see what is coming.

Yes, we do have some horror titles.

SC also did smaller deals with two other labels, so some of the essential horror titles and foreign films ended up with these two other labels.

Excellent. Hopefully some of those include Vintage Classics because films like Ice Cold in Alex, Dunkirk '58, The Dam Busters, The Man in the White Suit, and The Titfield Thunderbolt deserve a Region A release.

Shout and Criterion I imagine. Very interested to see what these 'essential horror titles' are. If Superstition and The Manitou are among these I'll be delighted, but in any case it sounds like Kino have us covered if they fail to deliver.

We've already selected the 130 titles, so we're sorry, but we're not taking any requests. We will not confirm or deny any titles, but we will let you know if any of these titles are not SC. Le Deuxieme Souffle is not a SC title and the rights are still with Criterion.

Did you get a decent amount of French movies in that deal or are they mostly with the other two labels?

We have lots of French, Italian and UK titles in the deal. Also, some American and Canadian films.

Even though Kino can't confirm/deny titles they didn't receive, their 130 titles plus some from other labels is amazing news!
