Your quote basically says a MAC can do anything a PC can.......as long as it is running Windows XP of Vista either by bootcamp or a virtual machine.

do you understand the logic in that? You are admitting that the MAC hardware/OS can't do everything PC's can, if it doesn't have Windows on it.

I don't HATE MACS, or MAC users (like i've said a billion times, I use to use them myself), and I happen to believe that Final Cut Studio Pro is one of the absolute best video editors (1200$ i believe). but, I can use Sony Vegas 8 Pro on my PC, and I can edit all the HD content I want, I find Vegas comparable to Final Cut Pro.
