I am interested in getting this as well. I have an Onkyo 605, which means I believe I have only 1 "out" which currently runs to my subwoofer. I have the following questions....
1) If I understand this correctly, I could get the quick connect package, along with the amp and wireless link kit and it would provide me with the Y splitter that I would connect to the Onkyo subwoofer out, and I would then run one wire to the subwoofer and another one to the amp from the Y splitter on the back of my receiver? I have an older Sony subwoofer that only has a single audio cable input and no left or right lines to run in. I was wondering if I could use this subwoofer, or I would need to upgrade? 2) If so, should the amp be close to the subwooofer (which is in between my 2 chairs in the corner) or closer to the receiver? 3) Also, with the wiring provided, how long are the cable runs? Could anyone answer my questions? I really want to invest in these, but I am unsure if I have a receiver that I could use. The Amplifier Hookup Diagram does make it look like I can do this, but with my older subwoofer, I am not sure and I want to be before purchasing. Last edited by Fors*; 02-09-2009 at 04:40 PM. |
